Trade the streets of San Francisco for towering redwoods, scenic Bay Area views, and the waterfront charm of Sausalito on this half-day excursion to Muir Woods National Monument. Depart San Francisco and travel north across the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. Take in views along the way as you leave the city behind and head into Marin County. Arrive at Muir Woods National Monument, home to a protected old-growth forest of coastal redwoods—the tallest type of tree in the world. With your admission included, enjoy approximately 1.5 hours of free time to explore at your own pace. Follow peaceful trails beneath the immense redwood canopy, walk beside Redwood Creek, and choose a route that suits the time and pace you prefer. Muir Woods offers several walks of varying lengths, including shorter loops through the main redwood grove. After your time among the redwoods, continue to picturesque Sausalito. Enjoy approximately 45 minutes to discover this waterfront community, known for its hillside setting and views across San Francisco Bay. Browse the waterfront, take photos, or simply enjoy some free time before rejoining your coach. Then sit back and relax on the return journey to San Francisco, completing an easy half-day escape that combines three Bay Area essentials: the Golden Gate Bridge, Muir Woods, and Sausalito. Guests may choose to stay in Sausalito and return on their own to San Francisco via ferry or remain on the bus and return to a designated drop-off point within San Francisco.
Would have been nice for a bit more time in Sausalito
wonderful visit, top man driver, expert, very kind, tour guide with him is a pleasire
