Description

From SF: Yosemite Day Trip with Giant Sequoias Hike & Pickup

Begin your Yosemite National Park day tour by getting picked up at select San Francisco hotels. Cross the Bay Bridge and drive through the Central Valley to the town of Oakdale where you will stop for a short break. Start your day in the park at Tunnel View. Then, go to Bridalveil Falls for a quick walk to the base of the roaring waterfall. Next, proceed onto Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. After, enjoy some free time where you will get a chance to picnic at the base of Yosemite Falls, by a river, or in a granite-enclosed meadow. Chances are high that you will see rock climbers in the spring or fall, bears in the summer, and spectacular ice formations in the winter. After regrouping, head to El Capitan, the center of the rock climbing universe. Depending on the season, you may see some climbers on the rock, but they will appear smaller than ants on the 3000-foot (914 meters) rock. Enjoy a photo stop at Valley View and then head to the Tuolumne Grove to take a one-mile (1.6 km) hike to see a grove of 1500-year-old giant sequoia trees. Please note that the hike to the sequoias may not be available during the snow season. After the hike, head back to San Francisco with a restroom stop along the way.

Yosemite was magnificent. Tough 1 day trip from San Francisco. Went on a Wednesday. The driver was savvy enough to know we needed to arrive early, even on a weekday. We arrived around 8AM (do the math.) Crowds increased exponentially throughout the day. We were back on the road back by 4, having hit all the “greatest hits” as our guide referred to famous sites on everyone’s list for Yosemite. It was a long day by the time we got back to SF.

Absolutely fantastic trip. Clear instructions for pick up and all other info. Transportation was great. Guide was great, laid back and fun. Made everything clear. Informative and overall a fantastic experience with a good amount of free time during the day also to feel a sense of independent exploration.

Awesome trip showing the essencials of Yosemite. Company organized the trip in a really convenient way for a customer. Our guide Derek was super helpful and reveiled us couple hidden photo spots and shared few very interesting anegdotes.

That was an amazing trip! Well organised, planned and managed. I have to applaud our guide Viktor, who was not only helpful, but also funny and witty — we weren’t bored during the whole trip, not at all. The van was well equipped, with great infotainment system, USB chargers and WiFi — muy bueno. It was entertaining to see and hear so many cool perspectives from people across the whole world. We got along extremely well, everyone was so respectful and supportive of each other. Team: #texas #newyork #unitedkingdom #brasil #france #greece #austria #poland #mexico One thing worth mentioning is the fact that the sequoias was scheduled as a last stop before heading back to SF… it was a bit exhausting, especially after a long day, but I assume it was better to start the trip with the village, especially on Sunday. Either it easily one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. ❤️ Highly recommend this trip! P.S. I saw mama bear and her cub!
