Step into the world of Ancient Rome on an expert-led journey through the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill, where senators shaped an empire, emperors ruled, and gladiators became legends. The Colosseum Enter the largest amphitheater ever built. Stand in the tiers where 50,000 Romans once sat, and look down at the arena floor. What lies beneath it is the reason this building astonished the ancient world, and your guide will show you exactly how it worked. The Roman Forum Walk the square of ground from which an empire was governed. Temples, basilicas, triumphal arches, the house where Rome's laws were argued into existence. Your guide knows which stones matter and why, including the one most visitors walk past without a glance. Palatine Hill Climb to the birthplace of Rome, where the emperors built their palaces above the city. The ruins are still here, and so is the view they had. Three emperors shaped this hill, and only one of them wanted to be seen from it. Choose your experience Add Arena Floor access to stand on the ground where gladiators fought, at the center of the amphitheater, the closest you can get to their view of the crowd. Or select the small-group option, capped for a more personal tour and more time with your guide. Good to know The tour covers roughly two miles of walking over uneven ancient stone, much of it outdoors. Comfortable shoes are essential. Summer visits can be hot with limited shade, so bring water and sun protection. All three sites are covered by a single entry ticket, included in your booking. Rome was not built in a day, but you can walk its foundations in one morning with someone who knows where to look.
Unsere Reiseführerin Milka war spitze! Hochkompetent, witzig und sympathisch. Wir hätten ihr noch Stunden zuhören können.
Very good. Got lots of interesting information from a very informed guide.
Great tour with a very knowledgeable English speaking host.
Sarah was our guide and she was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and entertaining, making the tour informative, welcoming and fun. Well worth it and highly recommend.
Laura was our guide , she was amazing and knowledgeable , Great experience!
La guide a été très bien , très compétente et une belle maîtrise de l’histoire. De temps d’arrêt aux fontaines pour boire compte tenu des fortes chaleurs. Parfait je recommande
