Travel back in time and experience the glory of Ancient Rome. Your journey begins outside the iconic Colosseum, one of the most legendary monuments in the world. Walk through its ancient arches and imagine the roar of the crowd, epic gladiator battles, and spectacular public events that once filled this arena. Arena Access (important): The arena floor is not included in the standard tour. It is available only when selecting the “Colosseum Arena Access Tour” option. Continue to the Roman Forum, once the political, religious, and social heart of Ancient Rome. Walk among temples, ruins, and ancient roads as your guide brings history back to life. Then head up to the Palatine Hill, the legendary birthplace of Rome and home to imperial palaces, offering breathtaking panoramic views over the Forum and the Colosseum. Important note: during high season, to reduce waiting times at the Colosseum, the tour may start from the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill first. At the end of the tour, you are free to continue exploring the archaeological park at your own pace

Additional Information

  • A valid original ID or passport is mandatory for every visitor. The name on your ticket must exactly match your ID. Entry is managed by the archaeological authorities, and without a valid document you may be refused access. In this case, refunds cannot be provided.
  • All visitors must pass through airport-style security checks before entering the Colosseum. Waiting times may occur during busy periods.
  • Please arrive at the meeting point at least 20 minutes before the scheduled start time. Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed entry and may miss the tour.
  • The tour operates in all weather conditions. During the summer months, temperatures in Rome can be extremely high. We strongly recommend bringing a refillable water bottle, a sun umbrella or hat, sunscreen, and wearing comfortable clothing and shoes.
  • The itinerary may start from the Colosseum or from the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, depending on ticket availability and entrance times.

The tour was excellent. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly and responsible. The weather on the day was over 30C, and the guide was mindful to avoid long periods standing in the midday sun. Also he made sure the group were drinking enough water. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking of taking a guided tour to learn and see the Colosseum with Roman Forum and Palatine. It is truly amazing and thank-you!
