Experience the monument from the very heart of Ancient Rome. At the core of this experience is the Arena Floor — the true stage of the ancient games. Walk onto the Arena and stand exactly where gladiators once fought. From this privileged viewpoint, admire the impressive structure of the hypogeum beneath you and understand how the underground system powered the spectacles above. You may then choose how deeply you wish to explore: Option 1 - Arena Floor Experience (Small Group – Max 12 Guests) Walk onto the “stage” of the amphitheater and experience its immense scale from the center. From here, enjoy panoramic views of the Colosseum and observe the underground structures from above while your guide brings the history of the games to life. Option 2. Underground Experience (Small Group – Max 7 Guests) For those who wish to go further, descend into the restricted Underground tunnels (Hypogeum). Explore the passageways where gladiators and animals once waited before entering the arena and discover the engineering behind the ancient spectacles. Underground access is limited and often sells out quickly due to restricted daily capacity. The Complete Experience Both options include access to the upper levels of the Colosseum. Your ticket also grants entry to the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill, which you can explore independently after the guided tour. Whichever perspective you choose, you will experience the Colosseum not simply as a monument — but as a living stage of history. The tour was amazing! We skipped all the lines and our tour guide was excellent. It is expensive but well worth it. Something that the family will never forget. Highly recommend!

Our tour guide Rea was amazing. She was funny, knowledgeable and shared with us interesting facts about the underground Colosseum.
