Start by meeting your guide at Cafe Odette. From there, you’ll see the highlights of Île de la Cité, including Notre Dame and the Conciergerie. After a tour of the Sainte-Chapelle exterior, where you’ll hear about the Gothic architecture and rose window, step inside the UNESCO World Heritage site with your guide. You’ll immediately see the incredible stained glass windows. Admire each of the 1113 medieval windows, depicting scenes from the bible. Take snaps of light filtering through the multicoloured windows. Built in the 13th century, Sainte-Chapelle was a royal chapel used by the French monarchy. It housed holy relics owned by Louis IX, including the crown of thorns.

The tour of Saint Chapelle did not disappoint. Photos do not do justice! It was so beautiful and the sun was not even out. I can only imagine what it would look like with the sun shining through all of that stained glass.
The tour was good. I got lost but the communication was amazing and very helpful when I needed extra help.
The best part was skipping the long line to enter the church. Once inside the bottom floor was quite small and dark but only made the upstairs more spectacular. It was overcast while we were there but the windows still shone with the bright beautiful colors we expected. The history of the church was very interesting as I was unaware it pre-dated Notre-Dame. You could stay and enjoy the windows for as long as we wanted. The guide left us there to make our own way out.
Div was a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. He made the history that he shared accessible and was very entertaining. He was also a thoughtful guide, always making sure that the entire group was together and that no one was left behind, even though we had a couple of people with mobility issues in the group.
Div was fantastic! We thoroughly enjoyed his expertise and personality for the tour.
