I booked this tour from Japan, and the guides made it an unforgettable experience. Oomar was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, witty, and passionate. He didn’t just cover the famous historical facts; he shared fascinating stories and deeper insights that made the history come alive. I was especially impressed by how quickly he remembered everyone’s faces and always noticed if someone was missing. He made the whole group feel well looked after. He also took amazing portrait-style photos for us instead of just quick snapshots, and they’re some of my favorite memories from the trip. Lara was equally wonderful. She was incredibly kind, organized, and always ready to help. She gave us lots of useful information, spoke excellent English, and clearly explained how to get back after the tour, making everything easy and stress-free. The train strike that day meant Giverny was much less crowded, so we were very lucky.

Be warned that if you do this tour it is a long day. The temperature was 36 so we struggled with the heat and doing two places in one day but it was very well done by this company. We got to Versailles quickly and Mauro was a fabulous guide who shared his expertise with us. We then had free time to wander the extensive gardens. Another 75 minutes to Giverny where we explored ourselves and had time for a cold drink before we traveled the 75 minutes back to Paris.
