Join a guided tour of Santa Maria delle Grazie, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the heart of Milan, and discover one of the most famous masterpieces in the history of art: Leonardo da Vinci’s The Last Supper. Meet your guide in Piazza Santa Maria delle Grazie and receive headsets to easily follow all the explanations during the visit. You will then enter the Cenacolo Vinciano, the historic refectory where Leonardo painted the famous mural between 1495 and 1498. Standing in front of The Last Supper, your guide will tell you the story of its creation, the innovative technique Leonardo used, and the many restoration campaigns that have helped preserve the work over the centuries. You will also discover artistic details, hidden symbols, and elements of the composition that make this painting one of the most studied in the world. During the tour, you will further explore the historical context of the Milanese Renaissance and the cultural importance of the Santa Maria delle Grazie complex, making this experience unmissable for lovers of art, history, and Leonardo da Vinci’s legacy.
Organised well, professional guide, must to see and one of our main goals for the trip
Wonderful!! Giada was so excellent. She brought the painting to life. So glad we didn’t miss this.
