We would not recommend a private tour for the Tower of London. Our tour guide knew nothing about the tower other than the things she read on the information boards we were reading. We couldn’t hear her at all and she didn’t engage the group at all. We started the tour in front of Starbucks in which started late by 10 mins and then she had to go to the toilet too. We saw other tour guides with larger groups with headsets on talking to their groups and giving a lot more animated information. The white tower which holds an amazing array of weaponry and armour was avoided by her as she commented it had too many steps. Overall we felt our time was wasted by her and it was definitely not worth the £100 each for a VIP private tour. Much better to pay cheaper ticket and get the headsets.

Wir haben sehr viel Geld ausgegeben für eine Tour mit einem deutschen Guide (aufgrund unserer Kinder, die noch kein Englisch können). Leider war das Deutsch der Guide nicht gut so dass die Kinder es nicht verstanden haben.
