While the later part of the evening was enjoyable, the start of the trip was quite frustrating. The taxi driver arrived late and went to the wrong location, even though I had shared the correct hotel details. He then expected us to find our own way to him, which we refused to do. The desert guide also left a poor impression. During the buggy ride, he noticed we were driving slowly but instead of checking if we were okay, he just pushed us to go faster. At one point we got lost during a tricky manoeuvre, and when the guide reached us he seemed more angry than concerned—he never once asked if we were alright. On a positive note, the rest of the experience was great. The dunes were beautiful and the BBQ dinner was enjoyable. It's just a shame the driving and guiding issues affected the start of what should have been a fun trip from beginning to end.
